A video of the apartment complex “nido Shin-Okachimachi,” completed last year, has been released.
Located in an area where the historical wholesale district from the Edo period coexists with recent high-rise developments, the project aims to respond sensitively to its surroundings while creating a warm and refined façade through the design supervision of the exterior and shared spaces.
Balconies, essential for evacuation and housing outdoor units, are designed to appear as window openings to minimize the visibility of daily life from the outside. The use of wood-grainer paint reproduces timber textures on concrete, leaving traces of craftsmanship and adding warmth to the exterior. Furthermore, the façade extends its rhythm not only to the front and rear but also to the sides, responding to the building’s visibility from all directions.
Rich landscaping along the approach creates a pocket-park-like space within the city. In the entrance lounge, greenery and landscape-inspired furniture create a comfortable spot where residents can relax casually.
